Photography won’t stop time. But it can give you something to hold.

This moment won’t last forever but the way you love each other will.

That’s okay.

You’re in the Right Place

You're here because something about now feels worth remembering. Not the perfectly staged version. The authentic one. The laugh that spills out before they think to hide it. The glance you don’t even know you give.  The tender stillness, the wild in-between, and the golden thread of love running through it all.

I'm here to help you hold onto that.  Because the best stories don’t need scripts, they need someone to notice.

I create soulful, storytelling portraits for people and brands who want more than poses and pretty light (of course, we can capture a few of those too).

My hope is to deliver galleries that feel like a memory, not just for now,

but for the version of you who’ll look back and whisper, “I’m so glad we did this.”

See My Work

Moody black and white portrait of young person wearing handmade paper crown.

“When she takes photographs, they look different from everyone else's...

One look at her work and I quit photography."

ben A., author of dream year
Black and white photo of four children sitting together on a porch.

“When I look at the pictures, I felt they captured my boys in real life, which is exactly the memories I want to treasure. Mud on their jeans, wrestling in the grass and a smile on their face. They were perfect.”

Christi J., norfolk
Black and white artistic portrait of tender moment between parent and infant.

“She makes a photo session seem effortless…Her gift of catching just the right moment is amazing!”

Camille W., Virginia
Child embracing a pregnant belly in tender black and white moment.

"I don’t know what I expected. But it wasn’t this. I sat there looking at my family, stunned, sobbing, moved.  Your ability to capture essence—whatever you call it—is unreal."

The heart behind the camera

Hi. I'm Stephanie.

My "little" boy is 19 now.

I've learned a few things along the way.

Time is a liar.

It moves faster than you think and quieter than you notice.

One minute, they’re crawling across the carpet.

The next, they’re asking for the keys.

(My now-big kid—and his three siblings—can attest.)

You think you’ll remember it all.

But you won’t. Not exactly.

Not the way it felt.

That’s why I love to photograph the in-betweens.

The slow mornings.

The barefoot sprints across the yard.

The way their hair curled before they started brushing it.

The way you reached for each other when no one was looking.

My favorite work is less about posing and more about preserving.

Real life is already happening.

You don’t need to stage it. You just need to save it.

Let's begin with hello.

Whether you’re dreaming of a session or just wondering if this is the right time, I’d love to hear from you. Every story starts somewhere...yours can start here.
